Class Glas are a sensory pathway class and a key aspect of our learning is ‘play’. Through play we develop our ability to solve problems, explore various materials, experiment, and engage in tasks throughout the day. As a class we regularly take part in Sensology sessions, Intensive Interaction, Curiosity Programme sessions and Attention Autism tasks just to name a few. We regularly explore messy play through a variety of activities and explore water and other natural resources through our continuous provision and love to learn in Forest schools. As a class we enjoy musical sessions, stories, rhymes, musical Maths and more are key parts of our day. You’ll often find us singing through the corridors.

Through our learning we cover the 6 areas of learning and experience in a stimulating, positive environment. We encourage our children to explore, extend and understand their abilities in order to become ambitious capable learners, enterprising, creative contributors, ethical, informed citizens and healthy, confident individuals. We ensure there is unconditional positive regard at all times, giving our children the chance to flourish. We set IEP targets which are central to our learning in school, along with Literacy and Numeracy targets.
